Best Western opens hotel in Egypt

Best Western opens hotel in EgyptBest Western is expanding into Egypt. The recent opening of the 151-room Best Western Solitaire Resort at Marsa Alam on the Red Sea marks the chain’s first venture in Egypt. Best Western plans to open a second hotel in Egypt in 2010, the company recently announced.

The Best Western Solitaire Resort was built for luxury. It features “unique architecture and an exclusive private beach with convenient access to some of the world’s most exotic coral reefs, perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving,” according to a release.

Many of the rooms at the resort have balconies with views of the Red Sea. Attractions include three outdoor pools, steam rooms, hot tubs and an exercise facility.

Recreational activities are available including tennis, basketball, cycling, fishing, camel riding and scuba diving excursions from the hotel’s private marina.
