Kindles Make a Splash Poolside at Four Seasons Hotel Miami. Guests now able to borrow fully-loaded e-book readers.

Four Seasons Hotel Miami has added Kindles, the popular electronic e-book readers, to its list of poolside amenities. Available on loan to the Hotel’s tech-savvy guests, the Kindles are pre-loaded with 37 best-sellers and classics by literary luminaries including Dan Brown, Jane Austen and Bram Stoker.

The Hotel’s Kindles feature an intellectual and engaging literary line-up, including New York Times’ best-sellers such as Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol; Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin; and Last Lion: The Fall and Rise of Ted Kennedy. Also available are Oprah Book Club selections such as The Measure of a Man: A Spiritual Autobiography by Sidney Poitier and Say You’re One of Them by Uwem Akpan. Classics include Dracula by Bram Stoker, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and The Scarlett Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Guests can borrow a Kindle to use while lounging by the Hotel’s seventh-floor, two-acre tropical pool terrace, featuring breezy cabanas and three swimming pools, including the picturesque Palm Grove, a shady foot-deep wading pool punctuated by 28 soaring royal palms.

“Our guests tend to enthusiastically embrace new technology,” notes Ricardo Acevedo, general manager. “With a relaxing Miami setting perfect for curling up with a good book, the decision to add Kindles to the poolside experience just seemed natural.”

Between chapters, guests can indulge in a signature bubbly mojito or Evian Spritz to cool the Miami heat.
